Kinnick Stadium
Kinnick Stadium holds around 69,250 people, this makes it the 7th largest stadium in the Big Ten. It was opened in 1929 and has remained the home for the Iowa Hawkeys football team ever since. The stadium is located in Iowa City, Iowa, it is named after Iowa's 1939 Heismen winner, Nile Kinnick. Many renovations have been made since its opening. The surface is currently FieldTurf, which was instaled in 2009. The stadium is the 24th largest collage football stadium, the 42nd largest in the United States, and the 86th in the world. A unique feature of the stadium is the pink visitor locker room, it started as a tradition with the coach Hayden Fry and has remained ever since. The Children's Hospital Wave is also well known in Iowa. After the first quarter the crowd faces the hospital and waves to the patiants in it.


Carver Hawkeye Arena
Carver Hawkeye Arena is home to many different Iowa sports, womans and mens basketball, volleyball, wrestling, and gymnastics. Opened in 1983 the stadium holds about 15,000 people and was named after Roy J. Carver, a statewide booster who raised 9.2 million dollars for the school. Ever since then it has hosted many events such as speches from former presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. At the time of construction it cost 18.4 million dollars ($63 million today).
